1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how we, Unonico ("Unonico team", "Unonico", "our", "we", or "us"), handle and safeguard the personal data you provide to us, or that we otherwise collect or generate, in connection with our communication service (the "Service"). You sign up for the Service either on our website or on our eponymous app (the "app"). In this Privacy Policy, "you" means you, the person using the Service.
This Privacy Policy is part of our Terms of Service, which sets out the conditions under which you may use the Service and which can be found at https://unonico.com/terms.
2. Basic account data
You provide your email address to create an account to use the Service.
The collected email address is used for the following purposes: log-in authentication, troubleshooting, response to a user report, notice of a user report, dispute resolution, and email reply.
-
You use your email address to sign up for and log in to the Service. When you sign up, Unonico sends you a verification email. If verified, the sign-up is successful. Afterwards, you log in with the email address you used during the sign-up. The email address is referred to as the "log-in email address" in this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service.
The log-in email address will be deleted if you change to another email address or your account is deleted. Once the deletion process begins, removing the email address can take as long as 180 days. Even after that period, copies of the email address may still exist in the backup storage that Unonico controls or uses to restore data following a disaster, software error, or other data loss event.
-
If you report a technical issue, Unonico uses your log-in email address while handling the technical issue.
-
If you report other users to Unonico through the in-app report feature, Unonico may contact you. If Unonico contacts you, Unonico will send an email to your log-in email address.
Due to potential groundless reports or disputes, Unonico may retain the log-in email address you used at the time of your report, as well as any other email addresses used within the preceding 180 days to log in, for as long as necessary to investigate or resolve the dispute, or as required by applicable statutory limitation periods.
Also, if you delete your account after you report other users, Unonico may retain the log-in email address you used at the time of your account deletion, as well as any other email addresses used within the preceding 180 days to log in, for as long as necessary to investigate or resolve the dispute, or as required by applicable statutory limitation periods.
-
If someone reports to Unonico your interactions with them, your messages with them, or your content, Unonico may contact you. If Unonico contacts you, Unonico will send an email to your log-in email address.
Due to potential disputes, Unonico may retain the log-in email address you used at the time of the report, as well as any other email addresses used within the preceding 180 days to log in, for as long as necessary to investigate or resolve the dispute, or as required by applicable statutory limitation periods.
Also, if you delete your account after someone reports you to Unonico, Unonico may retain the log-in email address you used at the time of your account deletion, as well as any other email addresses used within the preceding 180 days to log in, for as long as necessary to investigate or resolve the dispute, or as required by applicable statutory limitation periods.
-
If you contact Unonico by email, Unonico collects your email address. The email address you use to contact Unonico does not have to be your log-in address. Moreover, you can contact Unonico by email even if you have never signed up or even if your account is deleted. In any case, Unonico retains the email address you use to contact Unonico for two years or a shorter period.
