Features

Privacy isn't a setting. It's the whole design.

Unonico brings together the everyday things you want from a communication app — sharing photos, messaging, keeping up with friends — inside a model built to keep all of it private.

Friends-only app

There is no username search.
Posts and moments are visible only to friends you have added directly. There is no public profile and no way for a stranger to see your content.

One-Time ID friend system

Friendships form only when two people exchange and enter each other's One-Time ID. IDs expire quickly and work only once — there is no username search and no friend suggestions.

You name your friends

There are no public usernames — you give each friend the name you know them by, and only you ever see it. Rename them whenever you like.

You choose their avatars

Every friend gets a profile avatar only you see. New friends start with a random emoji, assigned automatically when you connect — swap it for any emoji, or a photo from your device.

Hidden social graph

Your friend list is visible only to you. No one can see who your friends are, and mutual friendships stay invisible — even to the mutual friends themselves.

No visible metrics

Like counts are never shown to anyone — not even to you on your own posts. There are no follower numbers and nothing to optimize for. Just sharing.

Private comments

Comments on posts are private by default — visible only to the post owner and the commenter.
Comments are not even visible to your other friends (except for special comments, coming soon).

Direct messages

Message your friends one-to-one in the same private space, and search your own conversations by the personal names you gave each friend.

Moments that disappear

Share permanent posts with your friends, or 24-hour moments that vanish automatically — your call, every time.

How it works

Adding a friend takes both of you

A friendship is only created when both people agree — there's no way to be added without your participation.

1 · Generate an ID

Create a short One-Time ID in the app and share it with a friend in person or through a channel you already trust.

2 · Both enter each other's

You enter their ID and they enter yours. Each ID is single-use and expires on its own if it isn't used in time.

3 · You're connected

Only after both entries match does the friendship form. You give each friend a private name that only you ever see.
